the studio is run by Chris, a designer and developer who likes difficult interfaces, sharp typography, and websites with a reason to look the way they do. Latent Blend began as a 3D gallery experiment. we kept the room and changed what hangs on the walls.

today, live client projects hang beside self-directed redesign studies for real local businesses. you can step inside and walk through the work yourself.

why local

within five miles of 18951 there are businesses that have been open for decades and have websites nobody has touched since they went up. dead domains. parked pages advertising their competitors. menus trapped in image files no search engine can read.

these are good businesses. they deserve better than a template, so we make the case one concept at a time.

how we work

research first. before anything gets designed, we learn the business - its history, its customers, and what the current site gets wrong.

design like it is going in a gallery. every concept hangs on a wall before it ships. if it cannot hold its own in a frame, it is not finished.

build by hand. no page builders, no purchased themes. the site is written for your business and nothing else.

no lock-in. you own the domain, the site, and everything in it. if you ever leave, it all goes with you.

the current studio stack centers on React, Next.js, TypeScript, Three.js, and modern CSS. the tool is chosen for the job, not used as the pitch.

the wall

a website is a storefront window. people stop, look in, and decide whether to walk through the door. most of the web forgot that - it treats a site as a box to check instead of a window to dress.
